Welcome
The Group of Multilevel Modeling and Emerging Technologies in Bioengineering (M2TB) is a multidisciplinary group accepted in the Research, Development and Innovation Plan of the Junta de Andalucía (TIC-214), appointed to the University of Seville.
The group was established in 2008, with the objective to seek complementary and synergic approaches in bioengineering, from the different member profiles, Engineers, Architects, Physicists, Biologists, and Physicians.
The methods and tools underlying the physical and instrumental concept of geometry are used to integrate many nuclear issues of our research lines:
1. Research and development of mathematical modeling methodologies for the multilevel and multiscale description of physiological systems, with emphasis in geometry as underlying substrate. A very interesting working area seeks to find the best way to use mathematical models to generate biomedical knowledge into multilayer architectures, with distributed computing and semantic depending on context.
2. Research and development of methodologies and technologies in e-health, including from smart sensors and Web services towards advanced methods to analyze the effectivity of devices and systems.
3.Research to the knowledge and improvement of therapies for chronic pathologies, with emphasis in end stage renal disease and diabetes mellitus.
4. Research and development in new therapeutic and prosthetic systems for developmental stuttering, with approaches based on new etiological proposals.
